I am actually salivating as I type this...mmmmm. Wish we could all be together for a big Thanksgiving dinner this year. That is one thing I always remember about my childhood is enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner around Grandpa & Grandma's big dinner table. So much fun. I remember Grandma always trying to get me to "try" a brussel sprout but finding it still on my plate at the end of the meal...or maybe it "magically" disappeared into Duffy's mouth (no wonder he liked me so much...lol)

We will be thinking of you as we head into this long weekend. Adysen has been a few times before, but it was the first trip for Presley. They both loved it. Addy was a bit shy of the animals at first, but once she was convinced they weren't going to bite her, she was okay. Presley thought the goats were great. She loved petting them and thought they would be fun to ride on as well. I don't think the goat was too happy. After the goats we visited the sheeps and the lambs, the horses and the cows, the bunnies and the ducks, the chickens and the peacocks, but, the most favorite part of the trip was Adysen's very first pony ride. She was so excited she could stop smiling. I think there will be many more trips to the farm this year.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/Ri2Xy0PIoFI/AAAAAAAAACg/DMpB6ulGVL8/s400/addy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5056864855878312018" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/Ri2XzEPIoGI/AAAAAAAAACo/d_srva0y81o/s400/addy%26pres.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5056864860173279330" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/Ri2XzEPIoHI/AAAAAAAAACw/TPRJRyxeufY/s400/addy1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5056864860173279346" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/Ri2XzUPIoII/AAAAAAAAAC4/9K4iGeq-lK4/s400/addy%26pony.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5056864864468246658" />

Addy's wacky outfits

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/Ri2TU0PIoBI/AAAAAAAAACA/72uWktg60CA/s400/IMG_0369.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5056859942435725330" />

Here is another one of Adysen's outfits. It is a short drive (5 mins) from our house. If you are not into hiking then this is not for you. It starts out going straight up the side of a mountain but then levels out. There are a lot of stairs to climb as well and gives an overall great workout. I think it is absolutely beautiful. It takes about 25 mins to get to "the rock" (going at a good pace) which over looks Deep Cove, and in the distance you can even see Coquitlam. It is amazing and every time I go up there I remember how truly thankful I am to live in such a beautiful place. If you ever get to North Van, remember to hike the Baden Powell. If you are really adventurous and want to camp along the way this hike goes from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay (approx 12-14 hr hike). Probably won't be done in my near future, but I would love to attempt it one day.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/RifqAUPIoAI/AAAAAAAAAB4/8_CSSTWVbQg/s400/IMG_0182.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5055266397899759618" />

P.S. No longer a baby, but a real little girl. We were on our way up to Port Hardy for the Easter long weekend. So excited to be going "home" for a couple of days. The weather was beautiful on our trip up and very warm. Presley was so anxious to get out of her car seat that she started wailing for a pit stop. Happy to get out of the truck for a few minutes, the kids watched for birds, threw some rocks and played around a bit.

On the slopes of Seymour

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/RawKn3RK-FI/AAAAAAAAAAk/zctgP-nGIwM/s400/IMG_3854.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5020399364578408530" />
What a beautiful morning it was here yesterday. We took full advantage of the nice weather and headed up to Mount Seymour to go sledding. It is so nice to have a ski hill literally 10 mins from your door step. Presley stayed home with Noni & Poppa and the 3 of us headed up the hill. The tobaggan area was perfect, just the right amount of sunshine, the right amount of people and the right amount of snow! We got quite the workout pulling Addy back up the hill on the sled. At first I couldn't figure out why Jason and I were sweating to death and Adysen was still bundled up, but I quickly figured it out. Here are some pictures from our morning. Enjoy.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/RawKoHRK-GI/AAAAAAAAAAs/Xq-aibLfbhc/s400/IMG_3861.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5020399368873375842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/RawKoXRK-HI/AAAAAAAAAA0/NSqE8fhnGSk/s400/IMG_3863.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5020399373168343154" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1TAAHgBEwjY/RawKo3RK-II/AAAAAAAAAA8/dHgXjRBG9A4/s400/IMG_3871.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5020399381758277762" />

Adysen Turns 3

January 7th, 2007 came very quickly for us. Our baby turned 3 years old. I feel like I have had her my entire life because I can't quite remember life without her, but on the other hand, I can't believe she is 3 years old already. How quickly time flys. She loved having a birthday. She couldn't wait to have a party and open presents and have cake. We celebrated her party with her new friends from preschool on January 12th at Go Banana's Jungle Gym. What a blast. Can you believe Adysen is going to be 3 years old next month? I can't. Where has the time gone? And Presley, she is almost 8 months old now. I think time keeps getting faster the more children you have.

Adysen is doing really well. She is enjoying living in Vancouver and going to all of the different shops. She loves Costco's demos and Ikea's hotdogs.
Her favorite is the "Go Bananas" Jungle Gym. She could stay in there all day. She has just started Preschool here in Deep Cove. The people are really friendly and the kids are great. It is a wonderful little place to take your kids. She is busy, busy, busy and just never stops. She is wild and crazy but so loving and caring all at the same time. She is a great big sister.

Presley is just going with the flow. She is mesmerized by all the lights here in the city. She loves to people watch when we are out and about. She is very laid back and easy going. Never complains unless she is hungry or tired. She is a real blessing as a second child. She has adjusted well to the move. The first week was rough (she thought it would be fun to hang out with Mom and Dad from about 11pm - 4am) not fun, but thank goodness she is over that. She is in love with her big sister. Addy really can make her laugh. She is trying to crawl right now. She'll get there in no time. She does like to climb, so once she is mobile I will be in trouble. She says "Mama" and we are working in her saying "Dada". She is definitely a Mommy's Girl right now.

They are both a ton of fun and we couldn't imagine our lives without them. With all of the unpacking and settling in I just didn't have time...until lastnight. What a fun evening... building, decorating and then eating the last bits of leftover candy. That explains why Addy wasn't ready for bed until 10pm. It was neat to see her having so much fun decorating. She was quite funny when she would put the candy on the house and "accidently" getting some extra icing on her fingers. She would say, "Oh, don't worry Mom, it was just an accident! LOL. Too funny.
So here is our first Gingerbread House. A ton of fun, and it looks pretty good too!

A self portrait

I thought it would be so cute to post a picture of Jason and I on our blog. We looked at eachother and thought, no it can't be for real dogs! Oh, but were we wrong. Apparently, twice a year they have a doggy swim, where, for $5, you can take your beloved dog to swim with his/her friends at the local pool. We rushed home to get Kaiya (our chocolate lab) to take her for a swim. We thought she would love it. We thought, because she is a water dog she would go crazy for the warm pool water, but, we were WRONG! WAY WRONG! Kaiya kept trying to run out of the building. I think because there were so many people and so many dogs, that it freaked her out. Needless to say, we lost all 3 tennis balls we took to coax her into the pool and got wetter than we anticipated!

Isn't it beautiful

I thought I would share one of the beautiful scenery pictures we took on our way down the island highway on our move to our new house. So far, we are still unorganized. Our furniture doesn't come until either Friday, Dec 1st or Sunday, Dec 3rd. (The snow here is incredible. At least a foot and more to come today) and apparently Port Hardy has seen 6 inches overnight and is now facing high winds....FUN. So travelling the island highway is not really desirable right now, especially for a huge moving truck. The roads were pretty good when we travelled down on Monday, Nov 27th, but I think I did experience a couple of minor heart attacks while in the passenger seat. I felt we were driving so much faster than we really were. Jason just laughed at me.
The ferry took us for a wild ride. There was not a lot of cars on, so as we were pulling into Horseshoe Bay we hit a few waves really hard and it sounded like we just ran over a small boat or something. Then we started rocking back and forth, not great for someone who gets sea sick. Believe me, I was happy to be off of that thing.

So now here we are. I really feel like we are just visiting, not actually residents of North Van. Maybe when our furniture shows up, it will hit us. The one good thing about living in the city is we don't have to do our Christmas shopping all in one day like before. We can do a little at a time. Nice! I love Christmas and I want to enjoy the shopping a little at a time as well.

Okay, off I go to play in the snow. I am going to try and post more often.

Happy Winter....

Love the Cattermoles :)

My Growing Presley

Well...it has been quite a while since my last post. Sorry! It's almost impossible to get a moment to yourself now that we have two growing girls, but, I wouldn't have it any other way. Adysen seems to be getting busier by the day, and Presley, well she is growing like a weed. She began smiling at 6 weeks. Now she is the most smiley baby I know. She is sleeping very well. I get about 6 hours straight at night before she needs to nurse. I love that. Adysen wasn't a sleeper. She woke about every 2 hours for 1 whole year. No wonder I have bags under my eyes. I still haven't recovered. LOL.
Here are a couple of pics. Presley is 7 weeks old now. Isn't she beautiful? We feel very blessed to have her and Adysen is our lives. Doesn't Blaine take nice pics? One of my favorite parts about being pregnant is having my pregnancy photos taken. A local photographer has taken these for me and I absolutely love his work. He did a wonderful job with my first set of pregnancy photos as well. Can you believe I was completely naked for 4 hrs getting these photos done. I still can't believe it myself. The first day we were preoccupied with her vomitting every 1/2 - 1 hr...fun fun! After that ended, we became quite bored. I asked her if she would like to have her nails painted, of course she said 'yes'! She was quite excited to pick out her own color and everything. She sat so still and was so patient for them to dry. Once I was done, she said "Mommy's turn, Addy do it". You can imagine the thoughts going through my head - What if she spills it? Gets it on the furniture? Or the floor? Then I decided, she is 2, and I should just let her be a 2 year old. So I did, and this is the result. Pretty good for a 2 year old I thought!

The best part of this whole thing was the next morning when she brought the purple nailpolish to Jason and asked him to take of his socks so she could paint his nails. LOL. He was such a good sport. I think he only let her paint 1 foot, but she was quite impressed with her work. LOL.

Happy Happy Birthday Jason

Happy 36th Birthday Daddy!

Adysen couldn't wait for it to finally be March 11th. She was so excited to give Jason his birthday card with her ever so precious 2-year-old signature and drawing in it. I think most of all she was excited to make the cake. Chocolate is going to be her favorite I can tell. She was such a big help. She loved to our the ingredients in the bowl and mix it all together, but I think her favorite part was getting to lick the spatula in the end. Yum!

And here they are ready to dig in.....who looks more excited!

35 weeks and counting....

Here I am at 35 weeks pregnant. I can't believe that I only have 5 weeks left to go. Starting to get very excited and very nervous all at the same time. Only have 2 weeks left of work. The thought of being off for another whole year is great, but I think staying at home with 2 kids, 2 and under is going to be the tougher job. It is so worth it in the end though.

We are starting to narrow the naming field down finally. We are still looking for suggestions, so please help us out. We love the name Easton for a boy, but for a girl, I have my heart set on Hayden. I know it is more of a boys name, but I really like it for a girl. Jason really likes it as well, but I don't think he is totally convinced. So here we are looking for your help.....
please no names like Dakota, Courtenay or Victoria (cute, but....) I would rather not name my baby after a city, state or country. Also, even though I think Summer is nice, no names of seasons or months either please. Picky, I know.....LOL - see why we are having hard time.

Okay, we are leaving the thinking up to you. Thank you in advance for all of your suggestions.

Love you all!
